We believe that we can have secrets
Things that nobody will ever know
But one failure to bite your tongue
Given a false sense of trust
The mystery behind your feelings
Are made known to us

We are fooled into believing
That people speak the truth
When confronted for their opinion
They choose to stay aloof
Never saying what they feel
Because the consequence is severe

To say nothing is to be safe
To to do the opposite makes you a target
What is the answer to this existential crisis?

In these moments of pressured compliance
You must ask yourself boldly
Do I speak up or remain perpetually silent?

  1. Consider me one who respectfully makes himself a target. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
